L\u2019Escale is a family story dating back to 1964. A drilling entrepreneur, Jean-Paul B\u00e9rub\u00e9, wanted to create an exceptionally beautiful place in Abitibi-T\u00e9miscamingue where people would be proud to stay. He thus built his own hotel complex. His endeavor proved successful!<\/p>\n

However, about twelve years later, Mr. B\u00e9rub\u00e9 sold the establishment to focus on his drilling business. The hotel was then purchased by the Espalau Group, a group of businesspeople from Val-d’Or.<\/p>\n

In 1991, the Val-d\u2019Or businessman, Fernand Trahan, became the owner while continuing the family story, as he was married to Mr. B\u00e9rub\u00e9’s eldest daughter.<\/p>\n

In 1998, L\u2019Escale became the first hotel establishment in Northern Quebec to be rated four stars. Eleven years later, Mr. B\u00e9rub\u00e9’s grandson, Marc-Antoine Trahan, acquired L\u2019Escale and continued the family legacy in the hotel industry.<\/p>\n

In 2023, a new era began for L\u2019Escale with the arrival of Mrs. Lan Luong and Mr. Marco Th\u00e9riault as the new owners. Longtime friends of Marc-Antoine Trahan, they took over with a strong commitment to preserving the family heritage of the establishment while adding their own personal touch to meet the expectations of modern guests.<\/p>\n

Their goals are clear: to offer superior service and a memorable experience while maintaining the warm and welcoming spirit that has made L\u2019Escale renowned since 1964.
